These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of services by ClearScope Building Inspections (“we”, “us”, “our”). By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Scope of Services
ClearScope Building Inspections provides independent building inspection services, including (but not limited to):

Pre-purchase inspections

New build stage inspections
-
Defect identification and reporting
Our inspections are visual, non-invasive inspections only, conducted in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and industry practices at the time of inspection.

2. Limitations of Inspections
Unless otherwise stated:

Inspections do not include destructive testing
-
Areas that are concealed, inaccessible, or unsafe to access may not be inspected

We do not move furniture, stored items, or fixed fixtures
-
Services do not include engineering, legal, or compliance certification
Our reports reflect the condition of the property at the time of inspection only.

3. Reports and Use of Information
Inspection reports are prepared solely for the client named on the report.

Reports must not be relied upon by third parties without our written consent

No responsibility is accepted for unauthorised use or reliance
Reports are intended to assist decision-making but should not be considered a guarantee against future defects or issues.

4. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:

Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property

Advise of any known hazards or access restrictions
-
Confirm the inspection scope prior to commencement
Delays or limitations caused by access issues may affect the inspection outcome.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees will be agreed prior to inspection

Payment is due as stated on the invoice
-
Reports may be withheld until payment is received
Late payment may result in additional administrative costs.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made as early as possible

Late cancellations may incur a fee to cover time and travel costs
​
7. Liability and Consumer Guarantees
Our services are provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies you are entitled to under the ACL.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to:

Re-supplying the service, or
-
The cost of re-supplying the service
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses.
